Headquartered in Addison, Illinois, Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) was founded in 1947 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry to help support Christian human care ministries of the Church. LCC works with churches throughout the US and Internationally to further the Kingdom of God by touching lives in need with the Presence of Jesus Christ by ministering to their physical, spiritual and emotional needs. LCC connects needs with resources, working with congregations to help Christians make a difference in people's lives and in God's Kingdom sharing the Compassion, Presence and Proclamation of Christ. The purpose of LCC is to initiate, develop, coordinate, promote and support a unified effort of Christian human care ministry working through churches. For more information about LCC and its human care ministry, please contact LCC staff. Our Core StaffTim has served as President of LCC since October of 2001. Tim has served in Parish Ministry for 24 years in the LCMS as a Director of Christian Education, 22 of those years in the Northern Illinois District. The last 20 years Tim has served as Director of Discipleship and Good Samaritan Ministries at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL. He has also been involved at the District level having served two terms on the Board of Directors, Mission Board, and Board of Youth Ministry. Tim is currently teaching a Bible Study called The Word Among Us - with over 450 students from 26 different churches plus Internet Students. Tim each year leads study tours over to the Middle East. Vida started with LCC in January of 2002. She previously worked as VP of Operations of Leasemark, Inc.. Vida is an experienced Adult Bible Study leader, small group leader and seminar/retreat speaker.

Pete was raised in the suburbs of Chicago. He graduated from Concordia College, River Forest, IL in 1988 and then spent his first nine years of ministry teaching, coaching and counseling in Lutheran high schools in New Orleans and Rockford, IL. The past twelve years Pete has served in congregations as a Youth & Family Minister. He taught youth & adult Bible studies, confirmation, parenting and marriage classes, along with providing individual and family counseling and preaching. Pete has a desire to reach the unchurched and the dechurched. Pete is also the Spiritual Life Director for UKANDU Missions and co-leader of the summer Inner-City Chicago Mission Trip. The last number of years Pete has been equipped to lead congregations through the reFOCUS process which is designed to help individuals and congregations discover God’s unique calling on their lives in a deeper and more personal way than ever before and was also one of the LCMS Small Groups Ablaze trainers. Marie joined LCC in September 2003 and is working in the areas of Deaf Ministry and general Ministry Development. Marie has a Masters Degree in Social Work and previously worked as Vice President/Administrator of Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights. Dianna joined the LCC staff September 4 the Sunday following Hurricane Katrina to coordinate LCC volunteers going assist with disaster relief and recovery. She has previously served in the parish ministry at Immanuel Elmhurst and for thirteen years with the NID Office in Older Adult Ministry and training volunteers throughout the district. IN her duties as Deaconness, Dianna serves enabling LCC volunteers and members of congregations to use the gifts and talents that God has given them to serve others in Jesus name.

Josh started with LCC in October of 2001 as a volunteer and served as Technology Consultant. In March of 2003 Josh came on staff at LCC and works with all of our technology needs. Josh also assists congregations with their computer and technology issues.
