Sunday, February 28th was the last day of the month-long Haiti Collection in Rochester, New York. On Sunday evening, a tired but very excited Lynn Lillie called LCC staff member Dianna Bonfield to say that Sunday afternoon all but two of the 17 collection sites had dropped off the items they had collected over the past month. Collections from the last two sites on Monday afternoon netted 37 more large boxes, six large cases of water, and a tent. They began sorting, labeling, weighing, and recording all the items Sunday afternoon. They will continue to work through the rest of the week and the evenings at Risen Christ Lutheran Church in Fairport, New York. On Friday, March 5th, Orphan Grain Train (OGT) will drop off a sea container for them to fill, and at 3 PM the container will be sealed and OGT will pick it up and deliver it to a ship that will take it to Port Au Prince, Haiti.
