A Trip Highlight

Visited Ephesus, the most impressive urban archeological site in the world, including the Great theater, where the silversmith's riot took place during Paul's Third Mission Journey (Acts 19). In the afternoon we docked at the island of Patmos where the apocalyptic Revelation of John was written during his exile from Ephesus. We visited the cave and the monastery of St. John.

egypt A Spiritual Journey exploring Egypt, Jordan, and Israel

During the first week of our Biblical Study Tour we visited many amazing places, like the land of Goshen in Egypt, where the Children of Israel settled when Joseph was second in command in Egypt. This is rarely seen by other trips - and yet it is one of the most beautiful places in all Egypt. In Jordan, the Wadi Rum desert by jeep gave us a taste of life in the desert like no other tour!

During week two we focused on historical sites in Israel where Jesus walked and taught. We stayed INSIDE the ancient city walls of Jerusalem! We visited Bethany, the place where Jesus always stayed when he traveled to Jerusalem. Bethany was the "Poorest of the Poor" area at the time of Jesus, as it still is today. Our mission focus there was Four Homes of Mercy, a mission for Palestinian physically and mentally handicapped children and adults. It is there and in the evening back in Jerusalem that we commemorated Ash Wednesday. The list goes on and on about what we experienced on this Biblical Study Tour.

Cairo ... the Pyramids ... Goshen ... Petra ... Wadi Rum ... Mt. Nebo ... Jericho
the Dead Sea and Masada ... the Sea of Galilee and Tiberias
Nazareth ... Cana ... Bethany ... Bethlehem
Jerusalem
