Tim Hetzner Tim Hetzner and LCC Staff Presenting

How to share the compassion and proclamation of Jesus Christ in ways that don't cost money

Wednesday, September 8
St. Peter Lutheran Church
Schaumburg, Illinois

Lutherans genuinely like to show compassion when there are hurting people in the world. What we have not always done as well is combine compassion with proclamation - providing charity to both body and soul. Jesus shows us a balanced approach that feeds both the earthly hungers of hurting people and offers them the bread of life that is nothing less than Jesus himself. Tim Hetzner from Lutheran Church Charities will take us into a deeper look at what Scripture says about compassion and the model of Jesus Christ. He will also show practical ways of showing Mercy and Compassion to those in your church and community. A guide for hosting a Mission Fair will be made available to those in attendance as well as a presentation on How a Good Hunting Dog can teach us a lot about Being a Disciple - done with a live hunting dog!! Get details and register here.

Print a flyer - The event is free but pre-registration is requested. Come and bring your leaders for outreach and human care.
