Tara Sunday the Comfort Dog Print E-mail
Tara and DianeDuring the Street Fest in Palatine a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine stopped to visit with the LCC K-9 Parish Comfort Dogs. Diane shared that she was back in the area to attend her sister's funeral. One could tell from what she was sharing that her heart was heavy. The one who noticed the most was our very own Tara Sunday. Tara came right over to Diane to give her comfort and love. Diane sat down in the grass and eventually laid back and Tara just cuddled right alongside her for about 20 minutes.

Do you sense when others are hurting around you? Are you willing to bring the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to those who are hurting? Today we are surrounded by people who are hurting in many different ways. Today is an opportunity for you to come alongside others to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. Tara Sunday noticed and reacted. Will you?

Having the K-9 Parish Comfort Dogs at community events like this allows for evangelistic opportunities. The K-9s help to break down barriers and allow ministry conversations to take place.
